DISPATCHER/WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

THIS IS NOT A DESK JOB. It is a dynamic, working dispatch position where you will be assisting your team with the staging, loading, and unloading of materials—jumping in to help the team get the job done right! This is a FULL-TIME position.

 As a Dispatcher/Warehouse Associate at BENDER you will be accountable for:

•  Receiving, unloading incoming deliveries, organizing, and logging deliveries
• Ensuring drivers are following safety checks and procedures
• Efficient routing of deliveries
• Monitoring drivers and verify proper status and location of each delivery
• Prepare, assist, verify, and POD orders to be delivered
• Checking sales order accuracy
• Processing driver returns
• # of deliveries per hour
• Branch Driver Performance Stats including hard stops, idle time, and extreme speed violations
• Assisting with other warehouse functions; pick orders, maintain warehouse cleanliness etc. 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Roll up your sleeves and work alongside the team, especially during busy periods or unexpected challenges.
• Effectively schedule and dispatch delivery drivers to fulfill customer orders while optimizing routes for efficiency.
• Embrace and leverage technology tools, such as GPS systems and dispatching software, to streamline operations and drive results.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to minimize accidents and maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
• Proactively identify and address operational challenges, finding solutions to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, handling delivery-related issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver performance, and customer interactions.
• Uphold and promote the core values of BENDER in all interactions and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate closely with our team of drivers and support staff to foster a positive work environment and achieve common goals.

• Commitment to safety and adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Prior dispatching or logistics experience is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to embrace working hard and working smart
• Strong technological proficiency, including the use of dispatching software and GPS systems.
• Adaptive to new technologies and software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. assist with loading and unloading of materials.
