JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Counter Sales teammate you will be an integral part of our dynamic and fast-paced team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service to our clients who visit our trades counter. This is a hands-on position, that requires excellent customer service and organization skills, and the ability to work as a team member efficiently and cooperatively in a fast-pacedenvironment.As a Counter Sales teammate at BENDER, you will be accountable for:
Providing the highest level of service to customers
Ensuring customer orders and requests are managed in a timely and accurate manner
Effectively and quickly managing customer calls and emails
Increasing sales and awareness of new products, specials, promotions, etc.
Proactively engaging in trainings to improve your product knowledge and selling skills
Increasing average line item per ticket

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet customers/answer incoming calls at the counter with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale and WMS systems
Fulfill customer orders and arrange for product pickups.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure inventory accuracy and product availability.
Handle returns and exchanges professionally and in accordance with company policies.
Be willing to find solutions and solve challenges.
Assist in resolving customer inquiries and concerns
Maintain a positive and helpful attitude, even during busy periods
Maintain a clean and organized counter area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in wholesale/distribution counter sales preferred.
Previous experience in Plumbing and HVAC experience is a plus.
Customer-focused mindset with a genuine desire to help customers find solutions.
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn, collaborate, and improve
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Reliable and punctual.
Proficiency in using technology, including point-of-sale systems, Microsoft Office, and RFS/WMS scanners
Strong organization and attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy items occasionally.
