Summary:
Oversees Environmental, Health/Wellness and Safety programs, Worker’s Compensation and work and non-work related Return to Work programs at the division level to meet State, Federal, Local and Company policies and procedures. May acts as a consultant for Corporate or other Divisions as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Manage or conduct all environmental, health and safety related training and ensure the safety of all co-workers
Perform scheduled plant safety, environmental and ISO-14001 inspection/audits
Handle work related injuries, workers’ compensation issues and work related/non-work related return to work programs; Participate in case management meetings and may provide documentation and testimony in litigation cases
Regularly conduct work area ergonomics reviews and advise coworkers on proper work methods
Develop and maintain EHS programs; Maintain detailed records on all medical related activities or coworkers for complete and accurate records, reports, analysis or legal documentation
Responsible for all required EHS, including OSHA 300 logs, BLS Surveys, EPCRA Tier 2, and EPA Form R reports
Lead Safety Committee and First Responders and their activities, conduct accident investigations and maintain associated reports and prevention programs
Administer and coordinate division drug testing or pre-employment medical screening to meet company or customer requirements
Lead the hazardous waste program and those assisting in maintaining hazardous waste
Assist in audits, maintain all records relating to workers’ compensation or environmental programs and analysis of OSHA and/or environmental laws to ensure compliance
Establish medical policies and procedures and may act as a consultant for other divisions as necessary
Maintain contact with employees under hospitalization or those at home recuperating from illness or job-related injuries; Follow all medical cases through to the resolution
Qualifications:
Understanding of the total business operation to include material procurement, order entry, forecasting, manufacturing, invoicing, customer returns, inventory levels, and on time delivery.

Other Information
4 year technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management; 5 years of environmental, health and safety experience; 3 years in a leadership role.
