The Night Auditor (part time) will also prepare all night clerks reports, as well as prepare for the following shift. What you will have an opportunity to do: Balances daily revenue reports, posts room and tax to guest folios, and closes outlet and front desk computer systems. Balance all work completed by Front Office agents daily. This includes cash transactions, postings of all outlet revenues, adjustments, miscellaneous charges and corrections, and ensuring that all revenues are accounted. Ensure that all room rates are correct and that the input is correct into the computer system with respect to Rates, Room Tax, Source Codes, Package Definitions, Etc. Balance forward house accounts daily/monthly (depending on account use). Balance all Food and Beverage Outlets by generating a combined food and beverage report by outlet and ensuring agreement with the cashier tapes from each shift report. Post totals into PMS. Balance Banquet spreadsheet and post totals into PMS. Balance Conference Service postings to Micros Reports and post totals into PMS. Balance and Batch out all Credit Card transactions. Run End of Day process on PMS nightly. Perform system backup nightly. Perform Front Desk duties throughout the shift (i.e. check-ins, check-outs, CBX, reservations), always assuring guest service as first priority. Take orders for IRD and give to Guest Services. Perform other related duties as requested by the manager or MOD. Run and fold checkout folios for distribution by Guest Services. Input data into excel spreadsheets (House Charges, Voids, Paid Outs, Adjustments, Daily Report), balance totals, and distribute daily. Prepare the Audit Pack with reports and daily work and file in Audit Pack drawers. Pack Audit Packs into storage box as needed for drawer space. What are we looking for? Minimum one year experience as hotel front desk agent or front desk role strongly preferred. Excellent communication and guest service skills The ability to work independently The ability to problem solve and see tasks to completion Communicates effectively.
