Job Summary
The Drivetrain Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines and transmissions in various types of vehicles. This role requires deep technical knowledge of drivetrain components and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Hours: Monday-Friday ****We will pay a competitive salary and the salary is based on experience. ****
Responsibilities: -Diagnose and repair major vehicle components including engines, transmissions, and differentials. -Disassemble and reassemble vehicle engines and transmissions. -Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. -Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components and systems. -Interpret and follow complex technical diagrams and manuals. -Communicate effectively with Recon Managers regarding vehicle issues and repairs. -Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles. -Stay updated with new technologies and techniques in automotive repair Requirements: -Certification from a recognized automotive training institution. -Proven experience as an automotive technician with a focus on heavy line repairs. -In-depth knowledge of modern automotive technology and heavy machinery. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail -Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic software and equipment. -Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina. -Ability to work independently and in a team environment. -Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Education and Certification High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational schooling preferred. Experience with multiple foreign and domestic platforms. Certification from a recognized automotive institution such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) in areas like engine performance and transmission repairs.
