Role Summary
The Maintenance & Facilities Technician is responsible for all maintenance in our facility. Perform a variety of skilled and unskilled manual labor duties associated with the maintenance of equipment, buildings, and grounds. Work is of a changing nature and initiative must be used to be able to handle different situations as necessary and prioritize production needs. This is a sole contributor role who reports to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules.
• Supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.) as necessary.
• Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.).
• Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
• Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations).
• Maintain grounds and common areas and keep them free from trash and debris.
• Report maintenance concerns directly to management and perform repairs.
• Mow, weed, edge and otherwise maintain common areas and vacant lot grounds.
• Conduct irrigation systems repairs.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus
• Proven experience in a maintenance role
• MED Badge required to be employed in the cannabis industry
• ServSafe required and can be completed on first day
