The Bellevue Club’s Fitness Department is seeking a full-time Assistant Fitness Director to join our team. The Assistant Fitness Director is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members and hotel guests while supporting the Personal Trainers, Group Fitness Instructors, Pilates Instructors, and Floor Staff Attendants. This position includes strong administrative, customer service, and supervisory skills.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Club’s policies and applicable laws.
• Interviewing, hiring, training, and onboarding instructors.
• Provides support and performance management of instructors, including providing timely and clear feedback, and identifying and sharing tools to help employees improve as needed.
• Develops positive relationships with members, fitness team, and BC employees.
• Assists in the management and input of employee and class schedules in multiple software systems.
• Programming monthly workouts for one of our high intensity group exercise formats, focusing on strength, speed, power, and agility.
• Monitoring fitness emails and responding to members and employees regarding group exercise classes and general fitness related inquiries and questions.
• Administering and tracking group exercise membership activations and cancellations.

Skills and requirements:

• Ability to develop and maintain positive member relationships and provide outstanding customer service.
• Customer service experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent multi-tasking skills.
• Strong computer skills with experience working with MS Word, Outlook and Excel required.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as a team.
• Current nationally recognized Group Exercise and/or Personal Training certification and experience necessary.
• 2 or more years of experience teaching group exercise and/or personal training
• 1 or more years of experience managing 10 employees.
• Ability to lead group exercise or personal training sessions as needed.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required. If hired, certification must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
