Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Insurance Coordinator. The Insurance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of insurance claims and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. This position requires knowledge of medical coding, insurance verification, and medical terminology.

Duties:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Process insurance claims and submit them to insurance companies
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate coding
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any insurance-related issues
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate with patients regarding insurance coverage and billing inquiries
- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding guidelines (ICD-9, ICD-10) and managed care policies

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Proficient in medical coding and terminology
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
