Bell Supply Company/Endurance Lift Solutions is Hiring a Lead Engineer - ESP Reliability Near Midland, TX

Description

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The function of the Lead Reliability Engineer is to conduct and manage the dismantle, inspection, and failure analysis (DIFA) process of electronic submersible pump (ESP) equipment while coordinating with account managers and operations personnel.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Project a professional company image.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Keep account of field and shop samples.
  • Communicate with shop personnel in identifying equipment to be dismantled.
  • Disassemble and inspect failed ESP equipment with detailed thoroughness.
  • Identify what failed and why through a root cause analysis.
  • Provide detailed teardown findings with observations and pictures in a timely manner.
  • Keep an organized and accurate record of all findings and reports utilizing the DMAIC process for continuous improvement.
  • Write dismantle, inspection, and failure analysis (DIFA) reports to provide a probable cause of failure using industry standards.
  • Lead continuous process improvement to increase run lives and equipment performance.
  • Attend internal and external meetings to support Sales during customer failure reviews.
  • Coordinate and schedule all customer witness and non-customer witness teardowns.
  • Evaluate and revise processes and procedures to improve quality and reliability.
  • Identify and develop engineering solutions for repetitive failures.
  • Develop and maintain acceptance test inspection and criteria.
  • Actively promote safety procedures and proper use of equipment.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or better in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience: Must have at least 2 years of Reliability Engineering and ESP experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite tools.
  • Solid technical writing, presentation, oral communication, and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to lead small teams and initiatives.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, plant, warehouse, etc.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including 10 key and PC.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several objectives and reassign priorities.
  • Effective problem identification and solutions skills.

EHS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies.
  • Complete and actively participate in all required HSE training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work environment is typically located in an office and shop environment located on-site, within a ELS location during normal or extended business hours. Work environment may also include other locations as required.
