Job Summary: To design and fabricate parts and equipment to be used in a food production area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Must be able to work at least (8 ) hours per day . Must be able to design and fabricate parts and equipment that are capable of being used in a food production area. Must be able to measure, calculate, and assemble projects in a timely manner. Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by manager.

Required Qualifications (Due to the high volume of applicants, only those who meet the minimum qualifications will be selected for interviews):

Must be able to , Tig, arc weld, grind, cut, bend, and fabricate metal as needed.

High school diploma, or general education degree 2 years minimum

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to speak English, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Basic understanding personal computer applications and tools.

FOOD SAFETY:

Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have a valid driver’s License.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is regularly exposed to wet/or humid conditions, risk of electrical shock and vibration. Also working with welding helmet and some smoke, grinding dust hot metal from welding.
