VISION FOR THE POSITION
Paraprofessionals will serve as key stakeholders at BELIEVE Circle City High School and will be instrumental in supporting scholars and families for years to come. This candidate will aid the Special Education team and General Education teachers to support scholars with exceptionalities. As a key member of the Scholar Support team, this candidate will collaborate in planning and implementing quality instruction alongside teachers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs):
Assist in implementing and supporting the goals outlined in students' IEPs.
Work closely with special education teachers to tailor instructional methods and materials to meet each student's unique need
Classroom Assistance:
Collaborate with teachers to provide support in the general education classroom.
Assist in the implementation of lesson plans and activities that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Scholar Assistance
Assist students with classwork, assignments, and projects, adapting tasks as necessary.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs.
Behavioral Support
Implement behavior management strategies outlined in students' behavior plans.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment by promoting appropriate behavior and social skills.
Communication
Maintain open and effective communication with special education teachers, general education teachers, and other school staff.
Update teachers on students' progress, challenges, and achievements.
Complete other assigned tasks as needed
