BEKO Technologies, Corp.’s Product Manager will manage assigned products through the product life cycle. The Product Manager will create a product strategy that supports the company’s vision and promote sustainable growth. The Product Manager will have a global focus and be passionate about the success of the product line and company.
Additionally, this person will have project manager responsibilities for new product development.The Product Manager will coordinate projects with cross functional team members and communicate throughout the stage-gate process.This position will report on project status and promote a steady release of new product offerings.
The position requires travel, not more than 10% and will work from the company headquarters in Atlanta.
Areas of Responsibility:
Product Management
·Manage the lifecycle of assigned product lines offered by BEKO.
·Define BEKO’s market position for assigned product lines and regularly review market share, market trends, technologies, and regulatory changes that will impact our position in the market.
·Establish gross profit targets for assigned product lines and identify opportunities for cost improvements that support our price position in the market.Recommend strategies to improve profitability.
·Actively approve or reject product change requests that originate externally or internally and develop plans to implement approved changes.
·Actively approve or reject new product requests that originate from customer requests including OEM’s.
·Facilitate brainstorming to generate new product ideas and conduct feasibility studies that add to the new product roadmap.
·Develop a business case for product changes and creation including; market study, product strategy, competitive feature and price analysis, market analysis, unique value proposition (UVP), project scope including timeline, budget, forecast and launch plans.
·Utilize the stage-gate process to organize and manage projects to completion.Coordinate team meetings, approvals, and provide weekly updates on project status.
·Provide a quarterly project overview to help establish priority projects and resourcing conflicts.
·Promote teamwork by identifying and resolving roadblocks, maintaining accountability to the schedule and budget, and highlighting exceptional performance by team members.
·Create and maintain sales tools that leverage our unique value proposition, communicate our product strategy, and reinforce BEKO’s reputation.
·Create and maintain product sales materials including; brochures, fliers, price guide, manuals, training aids, presentations, calculators, and videos.
·Work with Marketing to establish the launch of new products.
·Regularly communicate product line additions and changes to Manager of Product Management including pertinent details of the addition/change.
·Maintain a global focus by communicating with the Product and Project Management at German headquarters as well as other international suppliers.
·Create work process instructions that enhance the efficiency and understanding within the department.
Job requirements and necessary skills
Technical Competencies:
·Demonstrated ability to systematically approach and resolve issues as they arise
·Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering preferred, other 4 year degrees also considered on a case by case basis
·1 year of progressive product management experience with industrial products
·3 years of overall work experience working in industrial markets preferred
·Familiarity with New Product Development and Engineering Change Management processes.
·Experience with ERP systems such as SAP preferred
