join our team as Outreach Assistants. As the first point of contact for our unhoused

guests, Outreach Assistants play a crucial role in providing consistent radical hospitality,

positive change in the lives of the unhoused community. Our mission is to use soul

work & social work to benefit the community, businesses and those experiencing

homelessness. Our mission revolves around providing essential services such as

mobile showers, laundry, haircuts, and case management. We believe in the power of

radical hospitality and innovation to transform lives.

Responsibilities involve but are not limited to

People-First Approach:

• Prioritize a people-first, tasks-second approach in all interactions with unhoused

guests.

• Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals seeking

assistance.

Consistent Radical Hospitality:

• Deliver consistent radical hospitality to unhoused guests, fostering a positive

and caring atmosphere.

• Offer services with empathy, understanding, and dignity.

Service Assistance:

• Assist with various services, including cleaning showers, laundry, haircuts, and

registration.

• Manage the shower list, laundry lists, and phone charging stations.

Mobile Units Management:

• Oversee the operation of mobile units, including the shower trailer, laundry

trailer, and clothing trailer.

• Ensure cleanliness and functionality of mobile units.

Productivity Maximization:

• Maximize productivity by efficiently accomplishing tasks and maintaining a

focus on guest needs.

• Follow outreach standards and protocols to enhance efficiency.

Zone Assignment:

• Stay within assigned zones during outreach activities, ensuring comprehensive

coverage.

• Contribute to maintaining a safe and organized outreach area.

De-escalation Skills:

• Develop and utilize de-escalation skills when faced with challenging situations.
• Foster a positive and calm atmosphere during outreach activities.

Attitude and Teamwork:

• Maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively with the outreach team.
• Contribute to a supportive and inclusive team environment.

Driving Responsibilities:

• Safely operate trucks for outreach activities, adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and cleanliness of outreach vehicles.

Donation Sorting:

• Assist in sorting and organizing donated items efficiently.
• Follow guidelines for handling and distributing donations.

Qualifications:

Strong commitment to a people-first approach and radical hospitality.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Basic understanding of outreach standards and protocols.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
