Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and possess a diverse skill set to engage and inspire students.

You will be tasked with providing personalized instruction for a 2nd-grade level student, with a particular focus on math and reading.

Qualifications:

-While a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is preferred, candidates who are current education students, as well as those with experience in tutoring, or any role involving teaching children, will also be considered.

-Strong understanding of child development principles and educational best practices.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to develop rapport and establish a trusting relationship with students and families.

-Confidence and experience in providing 1:1 instruction, effectively modeling and correcting common errors with young learners.

-Ability to carry out a lesson plan and utilize materials provided.

-Ability to identify error patterns and communicate with the supervisor.

-Positive and enthusiastic demeanor.

Position Details:

-Hours: 2 to 7 hours per day, depending on performance and availability.

-Flexible scheduling options may be available to accommodate students' and families' needs.

Mock Lesson Requirements:

-During the interview process, candidates will be asked to utilize materials provided to deliver a mock lesson demonstrating proficiency in the following areas:

-Adding with decimals: Use a worksheet do demonstrate how to add decimals.

-Sorting words based on word patterns: Use word cards to show how you would teach sorting words based on their word patterns (ex short vowel and long vowel letter A)

-Reading sentences: Demonstrate how to support a learner practicing reading sentences from a children’s book, and how to scaffold and teach reading.

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
