BTS provides clinical services, court related services, and specialized programs for adults involved in the criminal justice system. BTS provides services at community corrections sites (including residential treatment programs), outpatient locations, jail based, and court liaison programs in 9 counties across Colorado.

Title: STIRT Clinical Supervisor
Location:  Lakewood, CO
Hours: Full Time - M-F
Salary: $64,480/yr (based on licensure) 

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the clinical supervision and basic oversight (with assistance by Clinical Manager) of the STIRT program. STIRT involves 3 weeks of intensive residential treatment with transition to outpatient services. The STIRT Clinical Supervisor has oversight over the clinical supervision of the STIRT team (7-8 clinicians, 1-2 case managers) and assists with administrative task completion (billing, communication, etc.) This includes ensuring positive public relations as liaison to community, state, and federal referring agencies and providing quality customer service. The position also provides substance use and mental health services, as needed. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support, promote and adhere to BTS’s mission, values and Code of Conduct.
  • Reflect BTS’s commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
  • Carry out all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Company values, policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations. 
  • Directly clinically supervises clinical therapists within Residential and Outpatient Programs, including both individual and group supervisions
  • Communicates needs to the clinical manager in administrative oversight of programming and operations
  • Ensure positive public relations as liaison to the community and treatment system, and promotes clinical programs to city, county, and state system officials; attend all meetings for programming and operations with community and agency partners
  • Provide data analysis and assists Clinical Manager and Clinical Director in formulating program goals and objectives
  • Ensure maintenance of thorough documentation in compliance with Federal and State treatment standards
  • Attend clinical, administrative, and management staff meetings
  • Provide direct services, both individual and group, as determined by Clinical Manager and Director
  • Provide supervision for clinical master and doctoral level interns

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field;
  • CAC III, or LAC
  • 3-5 years post masters experience, including 1 year supervisory experience;
  • Must be a Colorado registered (DORA) LPCC, LSW, LMFTC or NLC
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use clinical reasoning techniques and clinical judgment when applying a range of appropriate assessment techniques, such as mental status assessment, diagnosis, dynamic formulation, and potential treatment planning.
  • Experience with applying the characteristics and foundations of behavioral therapy, which focuses on changing patients` unwanted or negative behavior.
  • Familiarity with types of psychotherapy for individuals or groups according to psychoanalytic/psychodynamic, cognitive/behavioral, humanistic/experiential, systemic/family methods and other appropriate psychological therapies.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Must pass background checks 
  • Ability to enter data into variety of computer software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed clinician in respective discipline: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC
  • Experience working in a substance abuse treatment program with a diverse population;
  • Experience providing substance abuse treatment to adult offenders;
  • Familiar with evidence-based treatment models;
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills;
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
