NCDHHS 735791: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Examiner Information System (MEIS) Program Director to lead the implementation of a statewide medical examiner information system. This critical role will require a combination of strategic planning, project management, and team leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the implementation process, ensuring seamless integration, and providing support to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the implementation of the statewide medical examiner information system, ensuring all aspects of the project align with organizational goals and requirements.
- Direct the planning, scheduling, and execution of all project phases, including vendor management, resource allocation, deployment, and post-deployment activities.
- Co-develop and implement a comprehensive training program for end-users and oversee implementation of a dedicated help desk support team, ensuring proficient system utilization.
- Create a comprehensive implementation plan encompassing change management, training strategy, testing protocols, system support framework, and stakeholder engagement strategy.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Systems Analysts to co-develop workflows, testing plans, and a system enhancement roadmap that align with organizational needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Project Management).
- Proven experience in leading large-scale system implementations, preferably within the healthcare or public sector.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successful planning, execution, and post-deployment support. IT project management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in change management methodologies and training program development.
- Familiarity with medical examiner case management systems or similar technologies is a plus.
