Infection Control Staff Educator RN Salary: Annual salary 100K-110K based on experience.

Infection Control Staff Educator RN Key Duties:

· Daily rounds on unit to supervise, observe, examine, interview residents, evaluate staffing needs, monitor regulatory compliance, to achieve the care environment and to evaluate staff interactions and clinical skills competency.

· Develops and maintains nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice and facility philosophy of care consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.

· Establishes and implements infection control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and to prevent the development of disease and infection.

· Provides education to all departments on the application of infection control principles and procedures to specific situations.

· Develop and implement comprehensive nurse onboarding program, including orientation and training of new nurses and other clinical staff.

· Train and certify staff in CPR, and ensure all staff are current in their certification.

Infection Control Staff Educator RN Requirements:

· Experience with Infection Control practices.

· Knowledge of MDS and Care Planning Process

· Graduate of a Registered Nurse degree program of college or university.

· Current CPR instructor certification

· Basic computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office, Internet, Web applications, PowerPoint, and Excel.
