Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers.
- Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment programs to help patients improve their functional abilities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for managing daily activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in patient care, preferably in an acute care or critical care setting.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to occupational therapy practice.
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques and case management principles.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
