SUMMARY:
The People Business Partner (PBP) serves as a generalist to support programs and departments in all aspects of human resources for The Carter Center. The PBP will provide strategic and tactical implementation of HR programs and operations. The PBP possesses a people-first approach, demonstrates strong HR knowledge, and is passionate about human resources being a key function to achieving the organizations mission.
Under the leadership of the Director and working closely with Managers, the team of 3 generalists advise managers and staff on policies and procedures, provide counsel on employee relations matters, review position classification, and promote practices that foster an equitable and inclusive work environment. Responsibilities also include, performance management, compensation, transactions, learning and development, and implementing recruitment strategy.
About us: The People Operations & Programs team of 6 provides human resources programs and services with the assistance of consultants, interns and volunteers to directly support approximately 270 staff at the Atlanta headquarters offices, and are joined with more than 3,000 staff in country offices. NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to The Carter Center on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. ?Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines.?
