This position is required to support all HACCP, Food Safety, Food Fraud, Food Defense and Quality Assurance regulations and programs by supporting the efforts of the HACCP Committee and Quality Assurance Committee. This position is required to follow all procedures, complete required reports/documents and follow up on all processes and projects assigned.

· Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.

· Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers, ballast and light fixtures, and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

· Able to maintain machines in a food facility; packaging, bottling, labeling.

· Responsible to complete assigned Special Projects, Tasks and Work Assignments.

· Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of GMPs and Allergen programs, HACCP, Food Safety, Food Fraud, Food Defense, Quality Assurance, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Forklift & Aerial Lift programs, Sanitation programs and all other relevant safety procedures. Participates in plant sanitation projects, mandatory training and overtime work.

QUALIFICATIONS

· A career path within the field of maintenance. We have multiple positions open for all varieties of experience.

· High school diploma and three to five years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

· Thorough knowledge and ability to use a variety of hand tools and machine tools. Knowledge of fire prevention practices and use of fire extinguishers. Advanced knowledge of refrigeration, heating systems, and electrical components.

· The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, as well as, frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch

· Employee may frequently work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, except at the glass stands, which requires the use of hearing protection.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
