Beaver Run Resort is Hiring a VP of Sales & Marketing Near Breckenridge, CO

Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center is located in Breckenridge, Colorado - the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Nestled between the mountain and Main Street, at Beaver Run you're just a few steps away from the ski slopes in the winter and the hiking trails in the summer. With 40,000 square feet of conference and meeting spaces, Beaver Run is the largest conference center in Breckenridge with the most scenic views and most professional team, services and amenities.

What You'll Do:

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive topline revenue, brand visibility and attract guests including transient, group, conference, and catering business. This position leads a team of director and management-level staff and ensures the execution of Beaver Run Resort's vision and strategies. The VP of Sales & Marketing will have a strong relationship with the HOA Board of Directors and will serve as a liaison to management. This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in the hospitality industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. A successful candidate will have a strong sales background and in-depth knowledge and experience with the hospitality and resort industry software, including RMS, PMS, and CRM. Position located on-premises in Breckenridge, CO. Transitional housing may be available. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility as described below.

Position starts at $130,000-$155,000 annual salary

Supervisory Duties:

  • Lead a team of 6-8 direct reports
  • Performance management including setting goals and expectations, monitoring performance, providing feedback and implementing corrective action.
  • Partner with HR to recruit and hire staff.
  • Identify and create development and advancement opportunities.
  • Ensure proper adherence to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue growth that align with business goals.
  • Lead, train, and inspire a high performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, monitor competition, leverage technology, and identify new opportunities to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Increase new business by developing and implementing sales strategies and tactics to identify, contact and close potential customers.
  • Generate sales metrics including but not limited to total revenue, profit margin, conversion rate from new leads, retention of existing business, customer acquisition cost and lifetime value, etc.
  • Foster relationships with key clients and partners to drive group and corporate bookings.
  • Plan and implement innovative marketing campaigns to target diverse customer segments.
  • Utilize digital marketing, social media, and other channels to enhance brand visibility.
  • Analyze data and metrics including financial performance, inventory, ADR, RevPAR, guest satisfaction, etc. to optimize revenue management and proactively address changing market conditions.
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasting ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Foster community and industry relationships and corporate social responsibility to enhance the property's perception and positioning
  • Facilitate and secure third-party vendors and contracts for services and projects.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field. MBA a plus.
  • 10 years experience in sales and marketing or equivalent experience - required
  • 5 years in hospitality/resort industry - required
  • 5 years senior-level leadership role - required
  • 5 years sales experience involving cold call prospecting - required
  • 3 years direct or indirect management of sales team responsible for cold call prospecting - required
  • 2 years direct or indirect traditional, digital and social media marketing - required
  • 2 years direct or indirect revenue management experience- required
  • 3 years directly or indirectly creating sales & marketing strategic plans - required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and Word - required
  • Advanced proficiency in budgeting, Profit & Loss, and business planning - required
  • Demonstrated experience using RMS, PMS and CRMs - required
  • Experience with Delphi, Duetto and SMS - preferred
