    8/22/2022 POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for monitoring all food service programs to ensure that the sites maintain adequate records and that the program is operating in accordance with the requirements.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Conducts monitoring visits at all site by prescribed deadlines.
    • Assist with free/reduced price meal application and verification process to ensure compliance with State Department of Education regulations.
    • Conducts on-site training as necessary.
    • Visits all assigned program sites within the first week of operation to ensure that the food service is operating smoothly and that any needed adjustments are made, or problems resolved.
    • Reviews program operations of all assigned sites within the first 4 weeks of operation to thoroughly examine the meal service from start to finish, correcting problems and providing additional training where necessary.
    • Reconciles any discrepancies in meal counts and records with the site supervisor.
    • Suggests corrective action to the site supervisor for problems encountered.
    • Revisits sites for follow-up as necessary to ensure corrective action has occurred.
    • Prepares reports of your site visits and reviews and ensuring that copies of the reports are included in an official file for each site.
    • Informs the sponsor about problems found at a site and ensuring that corrective action is completed and documented.
    • Works closely with the Food Service Management Company (FSMC) in obtaining meal counts and records from sites and maintains an Excel Spreadsheet comparing daily Production Records, Meal Counts, and Attendance for management review.
    • Assists in verifying the accuracy of USDA reimbursements and FSMC billing of monthly program meal counts.
    • Assists in updating of sponsor site applications with the SC Department of Social Services
    • Assists with technology troubleshooting with school cafeteria operators
    • Assists with inquiries from parents/guardians
    ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Food Service Operations Manager, Business Systems Coordinator, Chief Financial Officer, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Requires a high school diploma.
    EXPERIENCE:
    • The individual should have prior clerical experience, preferably with school district or food service operations.
