WAIT STAFF JOB DESCRIPTION The wait staff position reports to the management staff
- Must be 18 years of age if serving alcoholic beverages.
- Physically able to perform functions of a wait staff position Bending Lifting Stretching Walking up to 8 hours
- Willing to train 5 shifts at minimum pay, possibly one kitchen shift and one host shift
- Be familiar with the set up and lay out of the restaurant
- Greet and thank customers
- Understand the seating procedure
- Understand phone policies and procedures
- Be competent with taking a to go order from start to finish
- Physically able to buss a table with speed and efficiency
- Understand and implement salad bar maintenance, set up and break down
- Ability to handle his/her own cash drawer (amount in your apron not the main cash drawer).
- Able to give fast, friendly, and accurate service to all guests
- Understands the lay out of the menu and procedure for ordering a menu item
- Understands how to take and order and read a ticket
- Able to work as a team with other employees, such as helping buss, carry pizzas, do dish etc.
- Willing and able to complete all side work/cleaning procedures required by management
- Willing to comply with laws concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages
- Willing to follow all health code and safety procedures
- Willing to follow all management policies and procedures
- Possess reliable transportation
- Willing to work evenings, holidays and weekends
- Must not have any diseases that can be transmitted through food
- Must be able to get to work on time.
