Position: Part-Time Flower and Gift Delivery Driver

Job Description:

As a part-time delivery driver specializing in flowers and gifts, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and timely transportation of delicate items to designated locations. Your role involves handling flower arrangements, bouquets, and various gifts with care to maintain their pristine condition throughout the delivery process. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivery Execution: Safely drive designated routes to deliver flowers and gifts to customers' addresses within specified timeframes, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.
• Product Handling: Handle fragile flower arrangements and delicate gifts with extreme care during loading, unloading, and transportation to prevent damage or deterioration.
• Customer Interaction: Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with customers during deliveries, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
• Route Planning: Efficiently plan delivery routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency, considering factors such as traffic conditions, delivery schedules, and special instructions.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition, reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including recipient signatures, delivery times, and any special instructions or requests from customers.
• Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself, other road users, and the delivered items.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and careful handling of delicate items.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work varied hours between Monday - Saturday. Days mostly start at 10am
• 75% of deliveries are within SF, 10% around the East Bay, 10% around the Peninsula, 5% South and North Bay

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 35 per week
