Beale Personnel, Inc. is Hiring a Medical Biller Near Leesburg, VA

Ophthalmology practice in Leesburg, VA is in need of a Medical Biller for a permanent full time position, Monday - Friday, 7:45/8am-4:15/4:30pm. This position is on-site.

Duties and responsibilities of the Medical Billler:
-Scrub insuranc claims prior to submission.
- Review and correct all rejected claims.
- Ensure accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses
- Utilize medical billing software and systems to submit claims electronically
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials
- Handle patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Collaborate with medical providers and staff to resolve billing issues

Requirements of Medical Biller:
- Strong knowledge of medical billing processes and procedures
- Proficiency in medical coding, including ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding systems
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Skills for the Medical Biller:
- Experience with medical collections
- Knowledge of insurance reimbursement policies and procedures

Please note that this is not an entry-level position. Prior experience in medical billing is required.
