Direct Support Professional - Lead

Job Description

Direct Support Professionals work with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities by teaching self-care skills, cooking meals and doing laundry.

Additional duties may include :

• Assisting residents with daily personal tasks, including toileting, bathing, brushing teeth and dressing
• Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and tidying
• Transporting residents to medical appointments as needed
• Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific resident dietary needs.
• Encouraging resident engagement in social activities

Assisting the Home Manager with administrative tasks

Qualifications :

• previous experience in this field is preferred
• Applicants must have a HS diploma or GED
• Must be at least 19 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Job Types

• Per Diem (Must commit to at least one shift per pay period )
