We are an oral surgery office looking for a Front Office II professional with excellent organizational and administrative skills. You will be responsible for obtaining insurance benefits for patients and help with authorizations and predeterminations. You will also support/backup other front desk professionals as needed. Job Description We are looking to hire a front office professional that is compassionate and discrete with superb time management and record-keeping skills. The front office receptionist should have a minimum of 1-year of experience in a Dental / Medical Office. To ensure success, front office receptionists should be confident and professional administrators with fantastic communication and interpersonal skills that will contribute to the efficient day-to-day administration of the healthcare facility. Top candidates will work comfortably under pressure while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and can effectively react to patient emergencies. Responsibilities:
Check to be sure insurance was verified for all patients coming in.
Obtain insurance breakdown for patients if not already completed.
Fill out the insurance verification form.
Add contact notes regarding insurance details.
Communicate with patients regarding their insurance information.
Enter and update insurance benefits for each patient.
Confirm insurance activated appropriately for accurate claims filing.
Answer insurance company inquiries.
Re-verify insurance if it is not current or was not completed.
Contact patient’s when insurance given information is inaccurate.
Obtain insurance information from the system.
Initiate prior authorizations and pre-determination.
Maintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff, and patient information.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Proven experience as a Front Office Administrator, Receptionist, or similar role in a healthcare or dental setting is preferred.
Previous cash handling experience in professional environment required.
Ability to process payments / handle cash payments accurately.
Proficiency in computer software applications.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to handle patient records, scheduling, and administrative tasks efficiently.
Professional language and customer service mindset
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
Excellent documentation, communication, and Microsoft Office skills
Passionate about healthcare excellence.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift

Special Requirements:
Must be able to stand up to 80% of the time at minimum.
