Note: This position could be based out of various Beacon offices in northern Indiana with available office space. Travel to assigned Beacon locations will be regularly required as on-site repairs, installs and other position demands dictate.
Role
To support/maintain office IT hardware in a manner that provides excellent system availability, productivity and service to all employees of BCU so they may provide quality member service while fulfilling the mission of Beacon Credit Union. To maintain visual appearance of office IT hardware and cabling in a manner that exemplifies excellence.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Experience
One to three years of similar or related experience. In-depth knowledge of installing and configuring PCs, Thin Clients and peripheral hardware and software recommended. In-depth knowledge of general IT related troubleshooting recommended. Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Services, including Group Policy, Users and Computers and DNS recommended. Working knowledge of Microsoft DHCP recommended. Working knowledge of networking recommended. In-depth knowledge of desktop operating systems, including current versions of Microsoft Windows and Linux recommended, and industry standard software applications.
Education
High school diploma or HSE. CompTIA A and Net certifications recommended.

Working Conditions: Work is performed indoors in an office environment with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards. Employee may be exposed to dust and dirt while running cables at new or renovated branches. At times, the employee may be working in environments that are under construction. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee will regularly travel to other; similar sites. Employee may occasionally work extended hours, including overnight, to ensure proper system functionality.
Standard position hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. However, some after business work hours may be needed from time-to-time. When working a Saturday morning (anticipated to be two alternating per month), the employee will standardly receive a half-day off during the same calendar week. Reliable transportation and flexibility are required as employee will work a large geographic area.
