Beacon Credit Union, a member-focused financial institution dedicated to providing exceptional service, is seeking a Collections and Resolution Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining the financial stability of our credit union by managing overdue accounts and ensuring the timely collection of payments.
Major duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage with members to negotiate payment arrangements for delinquent accounts.
- Monitor and manage accounts through the collections process, including bankruptcies, foreclosures, and repossessions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of collection activities and member communications.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and other departments to resolve complex collection issues.
- Provide empathetic, respectful, and effective solutions to members facing financial difficulties.
Previous Collection Experience Required.Experience working with bankruptcies, foreclosures and repossessions a must.Education equivalent to a High School Degree or High School Diploma. College degree preferred. Valid Driver's License Required.
