Beach Garden Rehab & Nursing Center -
The Wound Care RN will be responsible for evaluating, assessing and documenting skin and wound conditions and have an in-depth knowledge of treatment protocols. Additionally, the successful candidate will have great communication skills to interact with physicians, families and nursing staff.
This is a full-time day position. Salary is commensurate with experience. A full and generous benefit plan is offered and potential for growth opportunities.
Some Responsibilities:
Assessing skin and wound conditions
Developing plans of care
Implementing orders and treatments
Evaluating progress of specialized skin and wound conditions
Evaluate new admissions
Document status and care plans
Notify physician and family of changes
Conduct staff education
Requirements:
Current NY RN license
2 years' experience in care and treatment of wounds
In-depth understanding of Wound Care protocols and treatments
Ability to train Nursing teams on policies and protocols for prevention and care of wounds
Experience in a skilled nursing facility
Excellent communication skills
Ability to be self-directed on tasks and collaborate with all departments
