Behavioral Consulting of Tampa Bay (BCOTB) has been serving Tampa as the leading provider in pediatric ABA therapy since 2003. Founded, owned, and operated by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, BCOTB operates four clinic locations across the Tampa area to best cater to Tampa's early intervention ABA therapy needs.

Known for the training and support we provide our staff, BCOTB is a great space to land if you are just starting out in the field or have been working in the ABA arena and want to work in an inclusive, diverse, and collaborative environment!

Our team is constantly analyzing and improving the employee experience and has created a system that allows our BCBA staff to continue to enhance their skillsets and knowledge while growing with the organization!

A day-in-the-life-of a BCBA:

  • Conduct behavior therapy sessions, as needed
  • Review and respond to all emails/phone calls directed to BCBA
  • Review calendar daily to ensure preparedness for all appointments
  • Respond to therapists’ questions and provides assistance, when needed
  • Submit timesheets daily
  • Follow up on all tasks given by Clinical Coordinator
  • Prioritize all tasks based on deadlines
  • Seek assistance from Clinical Coordinator if information is needed regarding tasks to complete
  • Assist with organization of materials/toys if all other responsibilities completed
  • Review/score client program books
  • Conduct therapist reviews on DTT, Manding, Problem Behavior, and NET skills and provide follow-up coaching, as needed
  • Conduct and complete monthly client program updates, when scheduled
  • Meet with Clinical Coordinator to discuss/review tasks and weekly schedule
  • Assist with development of behavior recommendations
  • Present information at bi-weekly team meeting, if needed
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments, observations, and recommendation review, when scheduled
  • Provide training to parents or teachers based on the Functional Behavior Assessments
  • Provide training to new staff
  • Conduct Skills Assessments (VB-MAPP) and develop program goals for clients
  • Implement Intensive Feeding Programs
  • Implement Intensive Toilet Training Programs
  • Assist Clinical Coordinator with IEPs and draft feedback and goal development, as needed
  • Run or co-facilitate social skills group sessions, as needed
  • Conduct trainings/workshops, when scheduled
  • Assist with marketing and attend networking groups, if requested
  • Complete insurance reports and reauthorizations
  • Prepare and conduct community presentations, as assigned
  • Participate in community outreach events, as scheduled
