Middle School Science Teacher
Preamble
Boston College High School is a Catholic, Jesuit, independent school serving approximately 1400 young men across grades 7-12 from various communities across Massachusetts. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES
The science department invites applications to fill a position teaching 7th and 8th Grade Science in our Arrupe Division (Middle School) beginning in August for the 2024-2025 school year. The teacher will co-teach two groups of approximately forty students with an English teacher and a social studies teacher in a flexible block schedule. The three teachers will have two hours every day with each group of forty students and will coordinate with each other about how they divide up the students and the time. The teachers will also collaborate on creating interdisciplinary curriculum and projects as well as teaching skills across the disciplines.
Another crucial aspect of the position is to serve as an advisor to 7th and 8th grade students.
