BC High is Hiring a High School Spanish Teacher Near Boston, MA

Description

PREAMBLE 

Boston College High School is a Catholic, Jesuit, independent school serving approximately 1400 young men across grades 7-12 from various communities across Massachusetts. Founded in 1863, Boston College High School continues its commitment to an authentic formation of the head, heart, and hands within the parameters of the Characteristics of Jesuit Education, the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm, the BC High Mission Statement, and the strategic plan.

ROLE PURPOSE 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full-time teaching position including 4 high school Spanish courses. 
  • Commitment to collaborating with colleagues in curriculum design and teaching practices. 
  • Weekly student mentoring in our house program.  

Requirements

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Master’s Degree in Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Experience teaching high school students.
  • A commitment to providing an immersive language experience in the classroom.
  • Strong and sincere engagement in professional development in both pedagogy and content area.
  • High standards and expectations for students.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems.
  • Knowledge and commitment around diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
