We’re looking for a credentialed High Risk OB Sonographer to provide diagnostic services to our physician partners across the Richmond, VA area. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Perform sonographic procedures. (No surprise there!)
  • Inspect and review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history.
  • Create reports to assist the physician with documentation.
  • Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule-out patient/fetus anomalies.
  • Communicate sonographic findings to physician.
  • Provide visual sonographic guidance to complete successful amniocentesis.
  • Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery.
  • Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance.
  • Cover a variety of clinical settings, including outreach clinics, which may involve extended commute times.
  • Increase your knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs.
Please note that the duties of this position are subject to change, and the employee may be required to perform additional tasks as needed.
IS THIS YOU?
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with an OB/GYN specialty
  • Currently certified with ARDMS
  • Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related to OB/GYN specialty
  • Knowledgeable of applied physics related to ultrasound
  • Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems
  • Able to communicate effectively with physicians, clients, and team members
  • Able to remain calm in emergencies or patient distress
  • MFM, high-risk OB sonography experience
DO YOU SCORE ANY BONUS POINTS?
  • Credentialed in Nuchal Translucency and Nasal Bone through Fetal Medicine Foundation (NTQR) and Cervical Length Education and Review (CLEAR)
  • Registered in Fetal Echocardiogram (FE)
  • Bachelor's degree in Sonography or other related fields of study
