Entomologist/Molecular Cell Biologist

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for Contracting position in Bayer Crop Science to establish functional assays with different eukaryotic cell types.

The project utilizing cell biology techniques will deepen the understanding of complexity of cell types, their biology and functions promoting trait development for the company.

The candidate will help in establishing protocols and assays with eukaryotic cells using cutting edge technology and imaging systems.

Key tasks & responsibilities

? Design experiments, execute and troubleshoot for desired outcome

? Develop protocols and assays using eukaryotic cells

? Microdissection of tissues

? Culture and maintain different eukaryotic cell types

? Determine cell attributes using microscopy/FACS

? Study functional response through protein-protein interactions

? Proper documentation of experiments and maintain thorough records

? Ability to use small equipment following standard safety measures

? Insect rearing and handling

Qualifications & competencies

? Bachelor?s/Master?s

? Specialization in Entomology/Cell Biology/Molecular Biology

? Basic computer skills

? Basic microscopy skills (optional)

? Ability to learn and apply new concepts and techniques

? Troubleshooting

? Work in diverse team environment

? Good communication skills

? Good record keeping

? Interest to read literature and learn
