Medical Records Specialist

At Bay Oral Surgery & Implant Center, we have built our practice and reputation on our commitment to providing excellent patient care and our team has been the foundation of our continued success.

We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Records Specialist to:

  • Professionally provide written correspondence to patients referring provider regarding patient visits.
  • Professionally correspond with provider offices, patients and authorized representatives regarding medical record requests through multiple communication channels.
  • Assist with greeting patients with a warm demeanor from the time they walk in the office to make them feel welcome and to assist with check in.
  • Assist with answering phones and address inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
  • Fill out paperwork and prepare patients for their follow up appointments.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to verify patient benefits and assist with billing inquiries.
  • This position is very important as it represents our providers and practice to our referring providers.

Qualifications

  • Must have excellent customer service skills and phone presence.
  • Professional front desk demeanor with a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • At least two years’ experience in a medical or dental office setting is a plus as well as an understanding of dental terminology.
  • Computer savvy with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong and accurate data entry/typing skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities.
  • Must be able to take constructive criticism well and learn from mistakes.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Reliable, career driven and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs throughout the day.

With over 40 years of service in the Green Bay and Marinette communities, Bay Oral Surgery & Implant Center is known and respected as the area’s leader in dental implant surgery and wisdom teeth removal. Our board-certified oral surgeons practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with specialties ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom teeth removal and dental extractions. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and TMJ disorders, as well as perform a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures.
