Bay Logistics is a privately held, family–owned Warehousing, Transportation, and Logistics Services company. Headquartered in West Michigan, we provide comprehensive, integrated strategies and value-added supply chain services associated with bringing goods to the marketplace.

We are actively seeking experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk (CSA) for first shift at our Hamtramck, MI warehouse.

The CSA is responsible for coordinating paperwork for inbound and outbound orders with 3rd party trucking companies, as well as monitoring the paperwork through internal and external tracking software. The CSA is also responsible for checking prepared orders which can require the use of scanner tools and other warehouse equipment. Occasional overlooking of warehouse staff when the Warehouse Supervisor is busy. The CSA's time will be split interacting with Truck Drivers, verifying loads, and entering the data into various systems. A strong computer familiarity is an important key to success, specifically with office programs like Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Essential Duties of the CSA include:

• Problem solving and customer interaction.
• Receiving and sending out material to customers and completing the applicable paperwork required.
• Ensure customer's product is stored or delivered in a timely basis, damage free.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures such as inventory accuracy and control, returns, damages, etc.
• Following safety instructions & procedures and working efficiently
• Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed and send to appropriate vendor (PTL, etc.)
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications of the Customer Service Associate include:

• 1 year of Shipping and Receiving experience required,
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must possess good communication skills as well as organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Computer savvy
• Must be able to use PC, scanners, calculators and related equipment.
• Software experience required is Microsoft Office
• Strong typing speed (35 WPM) and familiarity with general computer programs
• Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required.
• SAP Experience is a plus!

Working Conditions: Warehousing environment. Environment not temperature controlled.

This is a first shift position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
