Job Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments of goods in a warehouse (Finished Goods and Raw Materials). This role involves coordinating and documenting the flow of products, ensuring accuracy in inventory records, and maintaining a well-organized and efficient shipping/receiving area.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damages, and verify accuracy against shipping documents.
• Unpack, sort, label, and store received items in designated areas.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to established procedures.
• Coordinate with carriers and schedule shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation for outgoing shipments.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions using computerized systems.
• Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or issues.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move goods within the warehouse.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols in the shipping/receiving area.
• Participate in regular inventory counts and audits.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics is a plus.
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or a related field.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software (EXCEL, ERP)
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications. (EXCEL).
