BAUER ENTERPRISES is Hiring a Project Manager/Estimator (FT) Near Lincoln, NE

Attention Estimators and Project Managers in and around Lincoln, Nebraska! 
Bauer Enterprises is hiring a full-time Estimator and Project Manager to bid, secure, and manage construction projects in the Lincoln, Nebraska market. The successful candidate will manage the work from start to finish by developing bids, scheduling production, managing subcontractors, ordering materials, managing costs, and maintaining relationships with our clients and business partners.
Job Highlights:
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday.
  • $70,000 a year. (Commensurate with Experience)

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Estimates projects for bid submittal by reviewing plans and specifications, calculating quantities, gathering quotes and submittals, constructing the bid, and creating the bid submittal.
  • Attends pre-construction meetings for projects awarded to ensure communication and coordination between project managers, field operations and office staff.
  • Obtains necessary permits and licenses.
  • Manages costs by monitoring labor, equipment and ordering job materials.
  • Manages billing to ensure accuracy of invoicing and recording of accounts receivable.
  • Reviews and properly codes accounts payable to ensure proper job cost application is achieved.
  • Obtains approval and documentation for all work scope changes to maintain profitability of the project.
  • Coordinates communication with project owner, engineer(s) and internal management team.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent of 5 plus years of related experience in construction/project management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
The successful candidate will:
  • Demonstrated proficiency with construction estimating and project management software. HCSS Heavy Bid/Job experience will be highly valued.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through.
  • Possess the ability to get things done quickly and handle a variety of activities simultaneously.
  • Have a track record of building strong relationships.
  • Have a proven ability to communicate effectively inside/outside the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with managers, co-workers, suppliers, vendors, customers, and subcontractors.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel to job-sites and offsite meetings.
