SUMMBER INTERSHIP - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INTERN

Intern Project Description:

Asset Refresh (laptops). This project will replace many old laptops in our environment with new equipment. It will consist of the following primary functions:

• inventorying the new laptops into our asset management solution.
• imaging all the laptops.
• communicating with the new laptop recipients to inform them of the refresh and to schedule time to replace their existing equipment.
• Determine (on a case-by-case basis) whether new peripherals/docking stations are required to support the new laptops being deployed.
• Troubleshooting challenges with the new equipment deployed
• Receiving all the old laptops and dealing with them appropriately (wiping data, recycling, ....)

Definition of Responsibilities:

• Asset Refresh tasks
• Recycling tasks
• License auditing
• Security access auditing and updating credentials in our security systems.

Estimate Timeline for Project Completion:

• About 120-hour project

Intern Requirements & Qualifications:

• Willingness to learn about IT equipment management.
• Willingness to learn about basic technology licensing and cyber security.
