Job Description:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Customer Experience teams under the West Coast sales regions. As a part of the leadership team for the Customer Experience department, this person should model the highest standards of excellence in service and professionalism both internally and externally. Their performance and dedication to the team should set a tone for the Customer Experience department and the company that is positive, fair, collaborative, and hard-working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day leadership to ensure a high performance, customer service-oriented work environment that supports achieving Batory’s objectives and values.
  • Prioritize, assign, evaluate and supervise the work of all Customer Experience Account Managers in the assigned region to meet established metrics. Provides coaching and guidance for performance improvement and development; directs and oversees the training of new representatives.
  • Write and conduct formal performance appraisals; participates in a variety of personnel actions including hiring, counseling, training, promotion, discipline, and termination.
  • Interacts effectively and diplomatically in all areas of employee relations, always projecting a professional image in keeping with Batory’s goals and objectives while exercising the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Maintains the daily schedule to ensure complete coverage for our customer base; approves requested time off I BambooHR portal; Process Sales Orders, as needed.
  • Assumes difficult and specialized customer relation situations, involving upset and dissatisfied customers and requiring sensitivity and sound judgment; takes action to resolve complaints where appropriate, receives and responds to correspondence and telephone calls, providing information and handling issues, requests, and complaints.

Personal Qualifications:

  • Hard-working, strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work five days per week in the office with the expectation of being in the office a minimum of three days per week while on a hybrid schedule.
  • Embraces and embodies the Batory Basics.
  • Limited travel may be required for team building, training, or department support with an estimated maximum of 20% of time.
  • Understanding of Sales Order process and D365 is highly preferred.
  • Positive attitude, even when faced with challenges.
  • Fair, unbiased, and professional, especially in high stress or emotional situations.
  • Honest, trustworthy, and comfortable giving straightforward, constructive, and conscientious feedback to team members and cross functional partners.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Solid at navigating and nurturing appropriate, professional relationships and the ability to ensure personal relationships with co-workers do not impede the performance of job duties including performance coaching.
  • Ability to encourage and motivate people.
  • Strong people skills with the natural ability to be kind and gracious.
  • Highly organized with the ability to plan well and prioritize work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Previous experience in Customer Service / Account Management environment preferred.
  • Food industry experience preferred.
