Basin Upfitting is a reputable automotive Upfitter dedicated to providing top-quality service to our customers. We specialize in Upfitting Service Bodies onto the back of commercial vehicles. Our team is committed to excellence and seeks a dynamic individual to join us as a Shop Assistant. Position Summary:

As a Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our automotive shop. This role requires a motivated individual who is willing to learn and grow within the company. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and eager to take on various tasks as needed to ensure the smooth functioning of the shop. We ask that you have a background in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with general shop duties, including cleaning and organizing work areas.

2. Greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance as needed.

3. Assist technicians with vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks.

4. Help inventory staff maintain inventory levels by receiving, stocking, and organizing parts and supplies.

6. Assist with vehicle deliveries and pickups as required.

7. Learn and adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.

8. Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

9. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient shop operations.

10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

11. Offer assistance on builds

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience in automotive or mechanical work is required and will be skills seen as valuable assets in the future of your career.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

- Basic computer skills.

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.72 - $22.55 per hour
