Bartolo's Head Pasta Maker & Baker

Position Summary:

The Head Pasta Maker & Baker is responsible for producing high-quality pasta and baked goods for Bartolo's, an Italian Inspired Kitchen restaurant. This individual is responsible for ensuring that all pasta and baked goods are prepared to the restaurant's standards of quality, consistency, and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities:

*Execute daily pasta, bread and bakery production schedules. *Oversee and work closely with the Chef de Cuisine in the production and preparation of pasta, bread and baked goods. *Ensure that all pasta, bread and baked goods meet the restaurant's standards of quality and consistency. *Manage inventory levels for pasta and bakery ingredients and supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed. *Maintain and clean all pasta and bakery production equipment. *Work together with the Chef de Cuisine in create and develop new pasta and bakery recipes and menu items. *Train new kitchen staff on proper pasta and bakery preparation techniques and procedures. *Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling procedures. *Monitor and control costs associated with pasta and bakery production, including waste and labor costs. *Collaborate with the restaurant's management team to plan and execute special events and menu offerings.

Qualifications:

*Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in pasta making and/or baking, preferably in an Italian restaurant setting. *Ability to create and execute a production schedule and and work with other kitchen staff members. *Knowledge of pasta and bakery production equipment and tools. *Ability to develop and execute new pasta and bakery recipes and menu items. *Strong organizational and communication skills. *Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. *Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. *Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Head Pasta Maker & Baker is a critical role at Bartolo's, responsible for producing the foundation of the restaurant's cuisine. The individual in this position must be skilled in pasta making and baking, have strong communication skills, and be committed to quality and consistency.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation depends on your experience.
