Job Summary:
The Banquet Bartender will be responsible for bar set-up. They will also be responsible for providing the guests with bar package chosen, keeping it stocked with alcohol, pop and ice, announce bar closing, as well as cleaning up spills and other messes, and clean-up at the end of the evening. This is an at-will position.
Qualifications:
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be BASSET Certified. Requires strong people and customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public. The successful candidate must be able to project a Professional appearance.
Starting Pay: $13.00/hour DOQ
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Gain knowledge and understanding of Park District policies and procedures and see that they are adhered to at all times.
2. Attend district-wide part-time staff orientations, crisis trainings and office staff trainings as directed.
3. Comply with the District’s Dress Code by coming to work in clean, presentable clothing and wearing an employee name tag.
4. Proper bar set-up prior to the start of the rental.
5. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
6. Able to mix a combination of drinks.
7. Keeping the bar stocked with alcohol, pop, water and ice.
8. Clean up any messes made on or around the bar while working.
9. Age verification when needed of guests.
10. Serve alcohol to people responsibly and cutoff anyone who has had too much or has become out of control and loud.
11. Pass on to the Food & Beverage Manager, a list of products that are low and need to be ordered.
12. Do an inventory of products prior to opening bar and at the end of the banquet shift.
13. After the event has ended, clean up and put away all bar supplies.
14. Act as Building Supervisor whenever the F&B Manager or Hostess is gone for the day. Complete building closing check list and set security alarm to secure building.
15. Comply and assist in the enforcement of the Cash Handling Procedures.
16. Be courteous and helpful at all times.
