Primary Objective of Concierge Position

To improve guests experience while at the hotel by arranging for specific services and providing needed information. 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide in depth information and recommendations for San Diego restaurants and attractions.
• Respond to a wide variety of questions and needs in person, on the phone, and over e-mail.
• Use problem-solving skills to assess and resolve issues.
• Build and maintain meaningful relationships while interacting confidently with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Utilize suggestive selling techniques to increase ticketing sales.
• Demonstrate ability to deal with different guests some of whom require a high level of patience and tact.
• Communicate with other departments such as Reservations, Room Service, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet to ensure that hotel services are coordinated to provide the best in guest satisfaction.
• Plan and coordinate travel itineraries for clients, out-of-town guests and corporate employees consisting of hotel, meal and car reservations.
• Act as a front desk agent and assist guests with the check-in/out process, when necessary.
• Accept other special duties as required by management.
• Expectation to be able to handle basic reservation duties.
• Set up and break down breakfast / evening serving (light breakfast/evening appetizers)
• Stock, store, lift, carry supplies
