Job Description:

The Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager is a dynamic role that is responsible for the overall safety program as well as oversight for the facilities program for the Minneapolis site. This role is responsible for providing insightful leadership by encouraging others to discover, develop and apply their talents enabling them to reach their full potential. Actively engages in our Lean journey by building and acting on continuous improvement and development opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

* Develop, implement, and drive business processes to ensure we are sending people home safe and well through a comprehensive safety and environmental program, which includes training on safe work practices, current rules and regulations, inspections and hazard identification initiatives

* Develop and lead safety teams and/or safety committee

* Guide, coach, lead and mentor team members on safety practices and initiatives

* Maintain all safety policies, procedures and required recordkeeping

* Administer the safety program and implement lean tools/thinking to minimize administration requirements

* Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work environment risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices

* Investigate all safety incidents and near misses; provide timely incident reporting and drive to root cause elimination/prevention

* Represent company during third party inspections and safety reviews

* Lead the maintenance of the interior and exterior of building, grounds, equipment

* Manage and coordinate complex projects which may include internal and external teams

* Manage and maintain departmental budget

* Develop and execute continuous improvement roadmap

* Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in a Safety related discipline, a technical field with extensive safety experience, or equivalent.

* Minimum 3 years of safety leadership and facilities/maintenance experience in manufacturing environment

* Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment.

* Proficiency with MS Office products

* Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred

* Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred
