We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to lead our team and contribute to the success of Barry Bagels.

Position Overview:

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for our guests. You will play a key role in leading and motivating a diverse team of professionals, maintaining high standards of service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

• Recruit, hire, interview, onboard, train, and manage a team of talented individuals.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Manage employee scheduling, fill gaps, and provide ongoing feedback to staff.

Operational Excellence:

• Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Implement and maintain efficient operational systems.
• Ability to open and close operations.
• Complete ordering from Sysco and manage inventory.
• Take and manage catering orders.
• Maintain ServSafe Qualification.

Guest Experience:

• Uphold the highest standards of service to create an exceptional experience for guests.
• Address customer concerns and feedback promptly and effectively.
• Implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Financial Management:

• Manage deposits, control costs, and maximize profitability.
• Monitor financial performance through regular analysis of key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute revenue-generating initiatives.
• Submit data for payroll.

Marketing and Business Development:

• Contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies.
• Identify opportunities for business growth and implement plans to drive revenue.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a management role within the restaurant industry.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
• A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Flexibility to work 50 hours, at least one weekend day with potential for two, and some holidays as required.
