Barrier Fence is Hiring a Construction Project Manager Near Georgetown, TX

We are currently seeking to hire an experienced, construction project manager. This position requires both in office, and in the field job tasks.

We are seeking a fast learner who is dependable, responsible, and professional. Computer skills are a must, as well as math, spelling, comprehension, as you will be preparing submittal packages, change orders, schedules, reports, and so on for projects.

Job Summary:

Individual must be able to manage fencing projects through to completion. Ensure that the project is completed with the approved budget and within the stipulated time frame.

Requirement:

1. GED or High School Diploma. College level education or a certification in project management would be an asset.

2. Must have a valid drivers license and a history of safe driving.

3. Willing to travel in and out of state.

4. Have experience in the construction industry.

5. Be familiar with and have knowledge of the fencing industry.

6. Must have physical attributes to meet the rigors of a construction site. Such as the ability to lift 50lbs and walk large job sites.

7. Proficient in Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and presentation software.

8. Must be able to read, interpret, and understand plans and specifications.

9. Must be able to pass a background check

10. A keen attention to details is important as imperfections must be quickly identified and corrected.

Working Conditions:

This position is construction based and requires exposure to indoor and outdoor elements, as well as loud noises and construction site hazards.

Essential Functions:

1. Communicates with staff, clients, and subcontractors.

2. Monitors projects to ensure it keeps on track.

3. Creates and implements weekly and monthly schedules. This includes setting goals based on set schedules and adhering to those deadlines.

4. Delegates tasks on the project to employees or subcontractors best positioned to complete them.

5. Serves as point of contact when multiple teams are on a project.

6. Make effective decisions when faced with critical and time sensitive issues.

7. Communicates with Project Estimator to keep the project aligned with goals set-forth.

8. Performs quality control on the project to ensure expected standards are maintained.

9. Ensures relevant contracts are signed.

10. Be familiar with the website project management software and scheduling tools.

11. Receives and manages raw material inventory to ensure the projects are not stalled because of the absence of said materials.

12. Determines the machinery and equipment needs and arranges to have them on site.

13. Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to estimator.

Task and Duties:

1. Sets up project scope – Determine feasibility and resources.

2. Sets deadlines for deliverables.

3. Analyzes and tracks budget.

4. Strong interpersonal skills (can relate to kings and paupers).

5. Identifies and evaluates risk – Minimize risk.

6. Tracks and evaluates performance of team.

7. Provides reports and documentation of all the steps.

8. Have meetings to evaluate and review project.

9. Motivate and inspire the team(s) on the project site(s).

10. Skillfully negotiates with customers and team members.

11. Tracks, schedules, and completes services on trailers, equipment, and vehicles as per manufactures recommendations.

12. Oversees and provides employees and subcontractors with site safety documentations. These include Safety Plans, Required Safety Certifications, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) and Toolbox Safety Meetings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
