Job Summary

Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions. We are currently looking for a Sales Representative to cover Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties. As a Sales Representative you will be responsible for promoting and selling pavement maintenance and preservation solutions to various clients including municipalities, contractors, and engineers. The salary range for this role is $73,000-$85,000 DOE.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets in your assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including follow-ups to ensure satisfaction with products and services.
  • Conduct educational presentations and demonstrations to clients and stakeholders on the benefits and usage of pavement preservation products and techniques.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in pavement preservation to serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and quotes for clients and negotiate contracts and terms.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry conferences, and professional associations to network and promote the company's products and services.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and market feedback to management.
  • Coordinate with construction, production, and material distribution operations to ensure product/service availability according to customer contract requirements.
  • Works closely with construction to ensure requirements and schedules are maintained according to the contract.
  • Establishes Midland Asphalt Materials Inc. as the vendor of choice by providing exceptional service.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Sales, preferably in highway construction or related industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and convey complex technical information clearly.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% within the territory.
  • Experience with city, county, state, federal commercial bidding procedures preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Must adhere to all Midland safety regulations.
