Barentz North America, LLC. is Hiring an Account Manager-Pharmaceuticals Near Avon, OH

The Account Manager is responsible for achieving profitable and sustainable growth within their assigned market and sales territory. They build relationships and understand customer business in order to provide appropriate products and solutions. This is achieved through new customer acquisition as well as new product opportunities and relationship building.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

  • Deliver business results in line with agreed upon yearly sales and margin growth activities
  • Account management and strategy development at the customer account and territory level, matching customers and prospects needs and our offerings to drive growth
  • Utilize product knowledge and sales experience to clearly deliver the value proposition to customers, existing and new
  • Providing technical support to existing and potential new customers
  • Monthly reporting of territory sales numbers to sales management
  • Enter and maintain CRM data, including visit reports, projects, potentials/opportunities and price quotes in order to closely monitor and control the business
  • Provide regular forecast updates utilizing available forecasting tools
  • Provide market intelligence, including trends, competitor activity, competitor pricing and industry information as required or identified
  • Liaise with quality personnel and customers to assist in the professional resolution of customer complaints
  • Liaise with technical personnel and customers to determine the best products for the customer’s project
  • Attend (as required) and recommend participation in industry tradeshows and other events
  • Assist in the management of Principal business relationships, as needed
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
  • Support and lead by example, Barentz’ culture, values and fundamentals
  • Participate in ongoing personal development opportunities
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • A University or College degree in the sciences is required (i.e. Pharmaceutical Product Development, Chemistry)
  • A minimum of 5-10 years` experience in a sales environment in the Pharma/Biopharma/Nutra sectors
  • A thorough understanding of the Pharmaceutical, Biopharma and Nutraceutical manufacturing industry in this region and be well networked in these areas
  • Knowledge and training in pharmaceutical technologies and manufacturing processes, formulation development, dosage form manufacturing, and the upstream/downstream biopharma manufacturing processes
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience of successfully developing and implementing innovative sales strategies
  • Strong ability to commercialize technical aspects of products and convey these to your customers
  • Flexible approach to dealing with both suppliers and customers to ensure delivery of objectives
  • Strong prioritization of customers for the delivery of excellent service, with pro-active and supportive attitude
  • Software knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Energy and drive, with excellent communication & presentation skills and a team player
  • Act legally and ethically in all professional relationships in adherence with Barentz’ culture,values and fundamentals
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, high energy, and engaging level of enthusiasm and positive outlook
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adapt communication style to the audience as needed
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability
  • Fluent in English, a second language would be considered an asset
